In this case, usability testing of a future mobile phone as compared to a current competitor product was carried out in test studios with one-way mirror in Hamburg and Munich.

• Savigny User Research carried out this mobile phones usability testing in Germany as part of multi-country research.
• Excellent simultaneous interpreting allowed a usability expert from Idean to follow the German-language usability tests and to take detailed notes.
• The simultaneous interpreting also ensured that the whole picture in picture (PiP) video recordings could be used by the client without the need for English-language subtitling. It was made available together with the original German-language sound on chaptered DVDs.
• Video highlights for each city were delivered on DVD within less than a week.
